Falconcity of Wonders Takes Route to Sustainability

The mega developers kick off partnership at the 3rd Annual Middle East Smart Landscape Summit 2015

DUBAI, UAE - April 27, 2015 - PRLog -- With Dubai gearing up for World Expo 2020, sustainability has become an integrated part of the national vision and government policy. Leading the way, Dubai Municipality has granted AED 6 billion towards development of landscaping and expansion of the irrigation network.*

In an endeavor to support the Dubai Municipality’s initiative of green living, Falconcity of Wonders is extending their support to the 3rd Annual Middle East Smart Landscape Summit 2015. Held under the patronage of H.E. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General, Dubai Municipality, the Summit is in line with Dubai Municipality’s vision of 2020 which has projected 12,200 hectares of green space through landscaping and horticulture projects. In addition, the UAE regulations have stipulated that 25% of a project's development area must be set aside for environmentally-responsible landscaping.

The Middle East Smart Landscape Summit 2015 will take place on the 28th and 29th April 2015 at Sofitel Dubai the Palm Resort & Spa. In its 3rd year running, the summit will attract nearly 680 senior members including landscape architects, municipality officials, urban planners, hotels and resorts project owners, developers, environmental specialists and contractors from across the GCC. The two-day session will see presentations from expert speakers and roundtable discussions, networking sessions and interesting case studies from both local and international experts.
