NEW YORK - April 27, 2015 - PRLog -- 3DShook Ltd, an Israeli start-up founded in 2014 launched its services last week at 3D Printshow New York.

The company, seed-funded by a venture capital fund, offers a ready-to-print exclusive collection of designs, with hundreds of models available for a monthly subscription of as low as $8.33. The collection spans over forty categories, is fully tested for consumer FDM printers and is carefully curated to include only designs that have purpose & usefulness in daily life or a cultural background.

Co-founder Hector Berrebi:

“We recognized a clear lack of quality content both appealing and functional, which is packaged and priced for mass consumption. We want to see 3D printers in every home - we feel that it’s already a perfect life companion - and believe that the way there is only through quality content.

Coming from a background in digital content, and seeing the trends in recent years, we took the subscription model as our goal. We’re proud to offer a large, ever-growing, fully-curated and fully-tested collection of designs, in which anyone can find things that they love, need or want, print as much as they like, and take a step into the amazing future of home manufacturing.”

The company's in-house design, modeling and QA teams follow strict guidelines in their work in order to not only deliver appealing and well thought of designs but also make them practical and ready to use.

"We cancel or put on hold roughly 20% of our designs during QA. We want to assure the best possible 3D printing experience so any design that does not print well won't make it to the collection."

"We aren't just another 3D printable repository of models. We are a brand, and one dedicated to give its customers the best shopping experience 3D printing can offer."

- Hector Berrebi (Co-founder)

At launch, 3DShook is offering over 600 models and will grow at a rate of 100+ new models a month. In addition to designs, the company also launched unique online viewing and printing tools to position, precision scale and prepare models for printing.

As new tools and functions are added, the website will operate in beta mode over the coming months. Special discounts and deals will be offered throughout the public beta process.

“We think that current 3D printer owners, whether professionals or early adopters, are the first users that can really see the advantages and the huge fun-factor that our service offers. We’re really looking forward to seeing their results and receiving their feedback.”
