Beadling Soccer Players Impress at U.S. Soccer Invitational

PITTSBURGH - April 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Eight Beadling Soccer players, U13-U15, were invited by U.S. Soccer and Brian Johnson, the current head coach of US Soccer’s U14 Boys National Team to attend a player development and identification event recently at the training facility of Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew team in Obetz, Ohio.

After a brief warm up, the eight players were put through a rigorous 20’ passing exercise.  The players were then organized by team and position to play a series of scrimmages under the watchful eye of coach Johnson.  “We videotape these sessions for later viewing,” commented coach Johnson.  “There are some high quality players in attendance tonight and we want to make sure we learn as much as we can about each of them.”

Beadling players in attendance were:  Will Carnevale, Anthony Chiurazzi, Frankie Fernandex, Sean Korpics, Ruthvik Panda, Mason Shockley, Nathan Ward, and Michael Zahorchak,

A noteworthy highlight from the event came during the last scrimmage when Beadling’s U14 player, Ruthvik Panda, scored off of an assist from Beadling’s U13 player, Will Carnevale.  “Those are exactly the type of contributions I would expect those two players to make in that kind of setting,” said Denny Kohlmyer, President of the Beadling Soccer Club.  “Each one of the eight Beadling players who attended that U.S. Soccer session make outstanding contributions to their teams when the stakes are the highest and I’m very proud of how they represented Beadling.”
