World’s Largest Business Networking Organization to Hold Networking Event in Sheepshead Bay

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - April 23, 2015 - PRLog -- The BNI® Prosperity Chapter is holding a Visitors’ Day on May 12, 2015 in Sheepshead Bay and members of the Brooklyn business community are invited to attend.

The event will feature plenty of opportunities to network with owners and representatives of local businesses.

BNI's Area Director Consultant and three-time #1 international Bestselling Author, Tim Houston, will be the featured speaker and will share the secrets to growing your business through referral marketing.

“BNI is a great way for businesses to grow their business by referral.  Many of our members report an increase from 20%-100% and as many as 50 new clients in their first two years,” says Houston.

The mission of BNI is to help members increase their business through a structured, positive, professional “word of mouth” referral marketing program that enables them to develop long-term, meaningful relationships with quality business professionals. Only one person per professional classification is permitted into each local chapter so that there isn’t internal competition.

In 2014, members of the BNI® Prosperity Chapter generated over 280 referrals resulting in over $980,000.00 in business for each other.

Visitors are highly encouraged to bring at least 100 business cards as the focus on open networking will put them in contact with dozens of local business representatives with whom they can form mutually beneficial business relationships and exchange business cards.  This event is a prime opportunity for local professionals to increase visibility and awareness surrounding their business within the larger community.
