By: Orbit Creative Google launched on the 21st April 2015 a new algorithm that rewards websites that are mobile friendly and penalizes websites that are not. How you may be thinking? Well, in a nutshell as small devices continue to grow and develop (let’s face it, we’re lost without them!) Google will roll out their search results that are tailored to the device needs. So for example, if your website is developed in a responsive or fluid style (mobile friendly) then this in turn will show up in Google’s search results. However if your website isn’t mobile friendly, then it will not be displayed on a small device. In summary, the upshot is that if your website isn’t mobile friendly (i.e shrinks automatically to fit the width of the screen in a column view), then it will not be shown to the viewer within search results through tablet or mobile. Having taken a pro-active view from when we started developing websites, all existing customers are not affected by this latest Google algorithm. However, if your website isn’t mobile friendly, then you should take steps now to address this. We are more than happy to discuss ways so that you can conform to the current web standards. If your website isn’t mobile then you really need to act now. Can you really afford to see over half of your hard earned key phrases wiped out via search engine optimization? We are running a free consultation to evaluate websites and we will make suggestions on what needs to be done to make your website mobile friendly. Feel free to call us on 0116 298 6019 to see how we can help your website re-gain lost ground. Alternatively, visit our website at http://www.orbitcreative.co.uk End
