Follow on Google News | Saving Brains – Saving LivesThe ground-breaking book’s launch comes on the heels of NFL star rookie Chris Borland’s ‘healthy’ retirement in March 2015 to avoid concussive brain damage (forfeiting millions of dollars), book author Dr. Ashare’s recent appearance on ESPN’s “Outside the Lines” TV Show to educate the nation that helmets do not significantly reduce concussions (but do prevent skull fractures), the on-field death of 25 y.o. rugby star Nick Tooth April 18, 2015, and the legal suit brought against the Illinois High School Sports League over concussions. The book is authored by clinician scientists and former hospital executive officers Bill and Katharine White, Cofounders of Brain In Play International- Brain In Play Foundation, a RI based nonprofit, will also spread awareness about their just published solution-book with concussion prevention and healing dance challenges spread by social media (You Tube, Face-Book, Twitter etc.). This dance initiative has been coined by author Bill White, “Do the Doc Wiggle”, to honor Dr. Ashare’s 3+ decades of tireless volunteer commitment to improve and save youth sports by addressing safety issues.
