Higher Learning Hoops Launches Second Annual Lupus Walk in Jacksonville, FL

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - April 24, 2015 - PRLog -- On May 2, 2015 Higher learning Hoops will present their 2^nd Annual Lupus Awareness walk in Jacksonville, Fl. This year, HLH will partner with DyMond Mind Public Relations and Management, Fire Tech Studios and We  are Impact. CEO and Founder, Shennette Sheffield Sparkes, whom is also affected by Lupus, created this annual event to help raise awareness and funds to support research for a cure.

To increase awareness efforts additional events have also been added to generate a huge impact on the community and provide support for other that are currently living with Lupus. Other events that have been scheduled are as follows:

May 1^st – Professional Connect Mixer at Suite 8pm-10 pm

May 2^nd- Lupus Walk at Ed White Highschool 10am-2pm

May 17^th – “Hold On To Hope” Tea Party at Papi Chulo’s 5pm-7pm

May 30^th – “Hard to Guard Celebrity Basketball Game Somerset Prep Academy 6-830pm

Funds from each event will be donated to Lupus research as well as to support the efforts of the “Princess in Pink” program. Princess in Pink is a HLH mentoring program that sponsors young women in the Jacksonville community to receive resources, mentoring and personal development skills to help build them into successful leaders of tomorrow.
