Raleigh, NC Drone & 3D Startup Making Moves

RALEIGH, N.C. - April 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Want to stroll through a San Francisco penthouse or Dubai-docked yacht while sipping Starbucks in Atlanta?

Aerial Look, a Raleigh NC-based startup, aims to help home buyers, renters and vacationers do just that.

Using 3D-scanning technology and drones, Aerial Look allows users to virtually tour the inside and outside of affiliated properties around the globe. There's a work-in-progress feature for users to virtually remodel a property's interior decor and furniture - then click and purchase the styles and brands they like best for the home.

Real estate agents and sellers are differentiating their properties with Aerial Look's interactive platform. Strong demand from real estate agents and property management professionals has until recently enabled Aerial Look to fuel revenue growth and R&D by bootstrapping reinvested revenues, outcompeting better-funded rivals.

Valued at $5 million after a recently closed first round of seed funding, Aerial Look operates across the United States and is presently expanding overseas to the Hong Kong, London, and Dubai markets.

CEO Robert Koenekamp, who founded Aerial Look one year ago, envisions licensing an "Aerial Look" package that will allow freelancers and photographers worldwide to harness the company's cutting-edge platform to display 3D and other media content. Aerial Look will offer the ability for creators to brand and share their content for a "minimal monthly subscription fee."

Mike Dittman, Executive Director of Aerial Look, was brought onto the startup in the fourth quarter of last year, Dittman brings 25 years' corporate experience to bear on the growth and scaling of Aerial Look. Says Dittman, "We are having a lot of fun on the forefront of an emerging industry, empowering individuals to capture and showcase videos and 3D models to enhance their marketing capabilities and the user experience.
