ANSTEY, U.K. - April 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Luke thought it would be a great way to propose and Kathryn came along believing the photographer was there because they were going to be featured in a story on first time buyers.

Luke said “We’ve been together for five years and were about to spend a week in New York, and I suspected Kathryn might be thinking that I would propose while we were away. I thought this way it would be a surprise, and a great place to do it in the foundations of the home we are buying. I told Emma, the sales manager at Anstey, what I wanted to do and asked her to try and get Kathryn along believing it was for some general publicity. I painted a brick with the words ‘Kathryn, marry me?’ and also hid a bottle of champagne nearby. I’m glad to say it all went to plan, and Kathryn had no idea what was going on”.

Kathryn said “It was perfect, really lovely. I wasn’t expecting it, not there. I had thought something might happen in New York but this was a surprise, and I’m really pleased it happened like this. Luke had obviously planned it very carefully and the brick with ‘marry me?’ was a nice touch. To have got engaged in what will be our new home has made it really special. We chose the Davidsons home at Anstey because I knew about their reputation and we both have family in Leicestershire. It’s a great location. Anstey is a nice village with some beautiful countryside around it, like Bradgate Park. We hope to move in during the summer and plan to get married next year”.

Emma Tuckwell, sales manager at ’St James Gate,’ said” This is such a lovely story. I think this is the first time we have had anyone propose like this. I was happy to help Luke make it happen and I’m glad it went well. Everyone at Davidsons wishes them all the very best for the future”.

Davidsons ‘St James Gate’ development is on Groby Road in Anstey – currently it has a range of three, four and five bedroom homes available from £247,750. ‘St James Gate’ was named the Best Residential development in last year’s East Midlands Forum for the Built Environment (fbe) awards.
