April 20, 2015 - PRLog -- The Great Lakes Premier League proudly welcomes its first expansion club for the 2016 spring/summer season.

Milwaukee Bavarians, one of the oldest soccer clubs in the United States, was founded in 1929 by German immigrants as a multi-sport association and becomes the 6th member of the Great Lakes Premier League which was founded in 2015 by longstanding Midwest Clubs RWB Adria of Chicago and Croatian Eagles of Milwaukee, and by newly-founded clubs AFC Ann Arbor (http://www.afcannarbor.com) , Grand Rapids FC, and Oakland United of Rochester, Michigan.

The Bavarians were most recently affiliated with the National Premier Soccer League, from which they took a hiatus in order to complete extensive upgrades to their home facility, Heartland Value Funds Stadium, by installing a new turf field.

The Bavarian Soccer Club organization also includes a strong youth soccer club with teams from U8 through U18 boys and girls.

The Great Lakes Premier League (http://www.greatlakespremierleague.com) is owned and operated by its founding clubs and by Red Arrow Partnerships who administers the league. The league will continue to consider expansion bids for the 2016 season through October of 2015.
