New website kicks off the next 25 years for Georgia Strait Alliance

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - April 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Vancouver, BC, April 20, 2015 – Protecting, restoring and promoting the sustainability of Georgia Strait and its marine environment has been the mission of Georgia Strait Alliance (http://www.georgiastrait.org) for 25 years. As the non-profit environmental organization celebrates the quarter century milestone, they’re not taking a break from the job – they’re kicking off the occasion with a brand new website.

Christianne Wilhelmson, Executive Director of Georgia Strait Alliance, said: “Our old website served us well, but as we added more and more content over the years and had to make more quick fixes to keep it together, we realized last year it was time for a change.” Wilhelmson jokes that GSA has been so busy protecting the Georgia Strait that they’ve had no choice but to keep the site together with band-aids. “It’s been a labour of love as hundreds of hours were spent in strategizing, design, as well archiving, rewriting and editing content, but we’re really proud of the outcome. The new design and improved functionality of our new site is going to help us immensely as we continue to connect with the community we serve into the next 25 years.”

What was once an overwhelming girth of 1200 pages has blossomed under the artful touch of the talented people at Raised Eyebrow (http://www.raisedeyebrow.com) to a streamlined, easy to navigate, functional, and beautifully svelte new site.

Formed in 1990, Georgia Strait Alliance is the only citizens' group working to protect and restore the marine environment and promote the sustainability of Georgia Strait, its adjoining waters and communities, the place where 75% of British Columbians live, work and play.
