Follow on Google News | Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck To Host 2nd Annual Special Needs Resource FairBy: Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck Visitors will be able to meet representatives from many of Long Island’s leading service providers. There will be informational tables for children’s services, transition services, technology, as well as legal and advocacy providers. Table space is available by invitation only. There is a minimal fee of $70.00 for for-profit organizations, and $30.00 for non-profits. Organizations can begin setting up at 9 a.m. on the morning of the event. Admission is free. The Special Needs Resource Fair is being held during the month of April, which is National Autism Month. Starting 25 years ago, the Autism Society launched this nationwide initiative to promote autism awareness, inclusion and self-determination for all, and ensure that each person is provided the opportunity to achieve the highest possible quality of life. “The Resource Fair is held during National Autism Month to help spread awareness about special needs care, including autism,” said Bridget Costello, Executive Director, Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck. “We encourage everyone to visit the vendors and learn more about these unique services they provide for Long Island’s special needs children.” The camp is located at 2 Chet Swezey Road in Center Moriches.
