HOEDSPRUIT, South Africa - April 20, 2015 - PRLog -- A cheetah mother has been given a high-tech baby monitor to help keep an eye on her five newborn cubs.

Salome (which means peace), a cheetah Mom at the Hoedpsruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC), has just given birth to five cubs on the evening of Friday April 17. Everyone knows that caring for a newborn baby can be very stressful, and this is no different for animals in the wild kingdom like cheetahs. The staff at HESC believe that just because Salome is a cheetah doesn't mean she shouldn't have access to the same tech that we have for our little ones. They have installed a state of the art baby monitor for Salome with HD resolution, sound and night vision that runs on solar power. This way they can keep a close eye on her and her five cubs and make sure everything is going well.

The rest of us wont be left out either, as HESC has partnered with africam.com to stream the baby monitor live on the web. Viewers can check in on the five baby cheetahs 24/7 to watch them grow, play and learn to walk in the days to come. They can also connect to the HESC donation portal and donate directly to the care of the cubs.
