Texas Psychologists Continuing Education and License Renewals

Psychologist licensees in the state of Texas are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of professional development during each year they hold a license.
 
April 17, 2015 - PRLog -- Psychologist licensees in the state of Texas are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of professional development during each year they hold a license. The hours must be directly related to the practice of psychology. There are no home study limits if APA approved. There is an annual birth month deadline for licensees.

Of these 20 hours, a minimum of 3 hours must be in the area(s) of ethics, Board Rules of Conduct, or professional responsibility. Also, out of the 20 required hours, another 3 hours must be in the area of cultural diversity.
