Here’s just a sampling of this year’s line-up: June 5-7 Bicycle Weekend in Ellicottville Whether you’re a mountain biking enthusiast, a ‘roadie’ or both, you won’t want to miss this 2nd annual event that showcases why Ellicottville is such a great destination for two-wheel excitement. For road warriors, Holiday Valley is hosting a two-day event that includes a 20, 40 and 80 miles ride, selected meals and two nights’ accommodation for just $289. Free in the village, Jason Schwinny, a 15-year veteran of the pro mountain bike circuit, will be performing three shows a day on Saturday and Sunday. All this and hundreds of miles of trails and roads to explore right at your doorstep. June 20. Holiday Valley Mudslide The fourth annual Holiday Valley Mudslide is a mud run where the emphasis really is on having FUN. There’s a 3.5 mile family friendly course or a 5.4 mile course with a bit of uphill running, in case you're feeling especially tough. July 3-5. Summer Music Festival One of the biggest and best outdoor music festivals in small town America, with a Top of the Mountain Party (chairlift to a top of the mountain outdoor party) Friday the 3rd, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra performing Saturday the 4th (Star Wars is the theme this year) and Grammy winning rockers Blood Sweat and Tears closing out the weekend on Sunday the 5th. Parking is free. Picnic baskets are welcome. July 24-26. Ellicottville Jazz and Blues Festival A weekend-long extravaganza for Jazz and Blues aficionados. With several acts booked throughout the village over the course of the weekend, attendees are encouraged to wander from one venue to the next to take in such performers as the Chicago Authority. August 15-16. Taste of Ellicottville Sample the best that Ellicottville’ September 18-20. Rock N Roll Weekend With summer officially ending September 22, a great way to close out the season with top notch live bands performing at multiple venues throughout the village and the always popular Classic Car Show on main street Sunday, the 20th from noon to 5 p.m. D As in Don’t wait to book your plans to visit as ticket sales are already well underway for most of our events and some of these events sell out every year.
