Local Harry Potter Fans Take on Literacy Issues (as if they are “He Who Must Not Be Named”)

April 17, 2015 - PRLog -- The First State Potion Masters, Delaware chapter of the Harry Potter Alliance, are hosting their First Annual Accio Books 2015 book drive campaign to proudly benefit Read Aloud Delaware. New and gently used children’s books can be donated at key locations around New Castle County Delaware and at one location in Delaware County Pennsylvania now through May 31^st, 2015.

The Harry Potter Alliance is a global non-profit that seeks to empower fans to act like the heroes they love to make the world a better place. The First State Potion Masters is the Delaware chapter of the HPA and our mission is to mobilize fans across the state toward issues of literacy, equality, and human rights. Our goal is to make civic engagement exciting by channeling the entertainment-saturated facets of our culture toward mobilization for deep and lasting social change.

About Read Aloud Delaware

Read Aloud Delaware is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of reading and is the only statewide organization focusing attention on the critical early years of child development. They promote reading aloud to children in order to encourage a love of books and a desire to become a reader. Volunteers of all ages read one-on-one to children in child care centers, clinics, and shelters serving low-income families.
