SAN FRANCISCO - April 16, 2015 - PRLog -- SQLstream Inc., provider of the real-time data hub for enterprise grade stream processing applications, today announced that the SQLstream Blaze data stream processing platform is available as a Virtual Machine Appliance supported on VMware and VirtualBox. SQLstream users can now install Blaze as a ready-to-run stream processing appliance on Windows, OS X and Linux platforms in a matter of minutes. The Virtual Machine Appliance eliminates administration overhead and enables a rapid installation across a wide range of common platforms and operating systems.

Facts

The Virtual Machine Appliance contains the full SQLstream Blaze suite, including the latest versions of the s-Server SQL-compliant stream processing platform, StreamLab for guided data stream discovery and visualization, and s-Dashboard for real-time dashboards over streaming analytics.

The Blaze Virtual Machine Appliance can be deployed on any host operating system supported by VirtualBox and VMware. This includes Windows 7 and Windows 8, OS X, and the majority of Linux distributions.

The minimum installation requirements are suitable for evaluation and systems with lower data volume and processing requirements, with full operational deployments supported on higher specification machines with additional memory and processing power.

The Blaze Virtual Machine Appliance is configured to support port forwarding as standard with hosted-only and bridged networking modes enabled as a configuration option. This enables the SQLstream Blaze Appliance to be accessed from the host desktop web browser, and using host-only and bridged network modes, to be accessed as if the Appliance were a physical server on the network.
