DETROIT - April 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Dimensional Control Systems, Inc. (DCS) will be presenting at SAE 2015 World Congress and Exhibition held April 21-23 at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan, USA. DCS will be presenting the case study titled “Accounting for Thermal and Gravity Force Effects on Automotive Components Using 3D Simulation Software”.  This study focuses on the dimensional quality effects due to both temperature change and gravity on the rear fascia of an automobile, and how to control the variation from these forces.

SAE 2015 World Congress and Exhibition brings together professionals from all levels of the automotive industry from engineers, to management teams, to executives, in order to collaborate and discuss current challenges in the industry, as well as share insight into the latest advances in products and technology.

DCS will be at booth 903 featuring live software demonstrations, showcasing 3DCS CAD-based simulation software. Stop in and chat with the DCS team to learn more about 3D model based variation control and closing the loop on quality.

DCS’s Director of Marketing, Benjamin Reese, will be presenting on Thursday, April 23rd in room 312 A in the morning. This case study demonstrates how 3D CAD and finite element analysis can be applied to simulate unexpected variation caused from natural forces in the environment that can produce manufacturing issues before and after a vehicle leaves the plant.

“SAE 2015 World Congress gives us the opportunity to share our experience with other automotive professionals,” said John Mathieson, DCS president. “Not only are we able to present our successes and challenges, but learn from other professionals in the industry about their own challenges and how they have addressed them.  By quickly identifying issues, DCS enables manufacturers to reduce the cost of quality while improving the customer experience.”
