NASHUA, N.H. - April 16, 2015 - PRLog -- A young woman mourns the death of her lover on the anniversary of his passing, at their favorite place. That’s the theme of New Hampshire Filmmaker Tim Morgan’s latest short film, REMEMBRANCE. The film – just over two minutes long – took best Super Short at the first Granite State Film Festival.

“I’m excited about this,” says Morgan, who wrote, directed and shot the entire film. “It’s one of my favorite scripts. I always felt it was a great short, and it’s nice to see others agree with me.”

The story features Miranda Evans and Lino Patti as the lovers. The story is told in a series of flashbacks between the present and the past. Morgan based the script loosely on an assignment he wrote in his first directing class, which he rebooted years later. “After the death of my father I wrote the script and made a first draft, which I thought was great…after my mother passed, the story took on even more significance for me, and I knew I needed to do it again. Not a shot-for-shot remake, but a total re-envisioning of the story.”

Starring in the short are the real-life couple Evans and Patti. Evans’ reaction to the script was immediate and powerful. “From the moment I read the script, I was in tears and I knew I wanted to be part of this project.” Evans said having her boyfriend co-starring made it easier for her to get into character. “Throughout the course of the project and after, I felt a renewed sense of gratitude to have the ones that I love by my side. It made me squeeze Lino, my family and friends a little tighter because the film reminded me that not a day is guaranteed. “

REMEMBRANCE has been submitted to a few more film festivals. “I haven’t publically released the short,” says Morgan, “but soon as I hear from the last of the festivals I’ll be releasing it on YouTube.” Morgan will announce the release on his web site and through his Twitter feed.

Morgan is the author of the novel THE TRIP, which follows three high school seniors who set off on a cross-country bicycle trip, only to face a zombie apocalypse. The story shows the events leading up to the journey and their desperate race for home. He also wrote the cyberpunk novella IC9: A CYBERPUNK DETECTIVE STORY. Both THE TRIP and IC9 are available on Amazon.com.
