"The Day The Sun Went Away," written and illustrated by Jonathan Heilig

MANHATTAN, N.Y. - April 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Author/Illustrator Jonathan Heilig has launched a Kickstarter campaign for his first children's book! The story of "Bird" and "Scientist Guy" trying to find the missing Sun is told in hilarious rhyming couplets paired with bright, beautiful illustrations.

About the Author:

Jonathan has called many places “home,” but he was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. His father taught him to read with help from Maurice Sendak, Shel Silverstein, and Theodore “Seuss” Geisel, the author/illustrators who continue to inspire his own stories and artwork. Jonathan and his wife Ipek have lived in New York since 2007. When they aren’t working on creative projects, Ipek teaches Kindergarten in Brooklyn, and Jonathan works in the Safety Department at a psychiatric hospital in Queens.
