May 2015 Events at Six Bends™

FORT MYERS, Fla. - April 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Charity motorcycle rides, salsa contests’ and Mother’s Day celebrations take place at Six Bends during the month of May and the public is invited to participate.

On May 2, Six Bends will host the MDA Ride for Life Florida from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Ride For Life Florida will bring together Harley Davidson riders from across the state to participate in this inaugural event. Members of the Naples and Six Bends HOG Chapters will lead a ride from Naples Harley-Davidson to Six Bends, arriving around noon. Live entertainment will be provided during the event. Including the nationally known blues-rock band, Fabulous Thunderbirds, who will take the stage from 3 to 5 p.m. The celebration will include food, beverage and other vendors, as well as silent auction and bike raffles. Awards will be given to top fundraisers, top fundraising dealerships and H.O.G. chapters.

On May 3, Six Bends will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a Hawg-O-de Mayo, complete with homemade salsa contest. Contestants must register at the Six Bends hospitality desk by April 30 to participate in the event. Registration is a $10 donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Salsa entries must be on-site by 10 a.m. the day of the event and judging will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Win VIB points at the Sombrero Hat toss at 10:30 a.m. or take a swing at the candy and gift card filled piñata at 12:30 p.m. Mexican cuisine will be available for purchase between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., while Soapy Tuna provides live entertainment from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

On May 8, Celebrate Mother’s Day at Six Bends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Harley Fashion Show. Guests can enjoy, wine and appetizers during the show. Plus be entered to win one of the outfits in the show at the end of the night. Register by calling 239-275-4647 or stop by the hospitality desk.

On May 17, Six Bends Harley-Davidson will be hosting a Women’s Only Garage Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees will get the chance to meet other women riders and learn how to design, fit and personalize their motorcycle. Reserve your space by calling 239-275-4647.

On May 20, Six Bends Harley-Davidson will celebrate Women’s Riding month with a Ladies After Hours Ride. Participants will depart from Six Bends at 5:30 p.m. to arrive at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse for complimentary appetizers and good conversation. To register, call 239-275-4647. On May 25, Six Bends Harley-Davidson will be closed to observe Memorial Day.

Additionally, Six Bends will continue to host their weekly event, Sundays at The Pit from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Guests can enjoy live entertainment from both national and local music acts. On May 3 and May 24, Soapy Tuna will perform a variety of music from the 70’s to today.  Then, on May 10, Hester Prynnne will perform. A little later in the month, Blues Fury will entertain guests with the blues and rock-n-roll on May 17. Wendall Ray will close out the month performing on May 31.
