Former Candidate on Radicalization - Meladul Haq Ahmadzai

OTTAWA, Ontario - April 15, 2015 - PRLog -- The 2014 Ottawa Municipal Election was held last year in October.

One of the candidates running in the Municipal government's election was Meladul Haq Ahmadzai who represented the needs of his residents in Gloucester-Southgate Ward 10.

Ahmadzai, 22 years old, finished in 7th place in the election and took 47 votes against incumbent Diane Deans.

Ahmadzai registered to run for City Councillor in April 2014 at Ottawa City Hall. He completed an investigation report on safer city bicycle lanes while on the campaign trail.

Ahmadzai has recently launched a new campaign called "Stop the Youth Radicalization" across Canada. He will seek to educate youth, parents and teachers about the root causes of radicalization in Canada.

"In late 2014, I started this campaign, Stop the Youth Radicalization, after I learned through the news that a Canadian soldier was shot and killed by a radicalized person," says Ahmadzai.
