Berrien Springs Resident Publishes Book on God’s Love

April 13, 2015 - PRLog -- RINGGOLD, Ga. – David Thiele, a Berrien Springs, Michigan, resident, recently published a book titled What Wondrous Love. The bookdelves into the controversial topic of unconditional love, examining the history of the concept, its infiltration into the theology of the church, and its dangerous effects.

“I began studying this topic because of a poster I saw that quoted Philip Yancey along these lines: ‘Unconditional Grace. There is nothing you can do to make God love you more. There is nothing you can do to make God love you less,’” Thiele said. “I was strongly impressed to study the Bible to see if this was a scriptural teaching. The more I discussed what I learned, the more controversial a topic it became. Everybody seemed to have their own opinion on what it means. I felt compelled to help people overcome what appeared to be an ignorant, superstitious approach to the nature of God’s love and reconnect them to the truth as it is in Jesus.”

Thiele holds degrees in religion, social sciences, secondary education, and business administration accounting and management from Union College. Currently working as a long-haul truck driver, Thiele previously worked as a missionary in Japan teaching ESL and Bible, as a literature evangelist, as a lay preacher, as an assistant auditor with General Conference Auditing Services, and as business manager and treasurer at Pine Tree Academy.
