ForaCare and RollTech Jointly Develop FORA, A Connected Health Watch

NEIHU, Taiwan - April 12, 2015 - PRLog -- ForaCare has designed a new wearable watch that captures measurements from a number of FORA Bluetooth enabled medical devices with the help of RollTech and the use of their Aster MT2502 system-on-chip (SoC). “We leveraged Mediatek Aster SoC’s excellent wireless connectivity capability to design a wearable connected health solution for ForaCare. Captures data from blood glucose, blood pressure, weight, temperature and pulse oximeter for Bluetooth enabled FORA devices.

Activity monitor – track steps, and elevation climbed

Uploads to the cloud - Using cellular data, the FORA Smart Watch is able to transmit the end-user’s measurements to a secure web-based portal, allowing healthcare professionals to remotely monitor their patients

Alert messaging – From the cloud, messages like “don’t forget to take your medication” can be sent to the watch

Service Call – Pre-program a specific number, either a loved-one or a local care facility. By the touch of a button, the FORA Smart Watch is able to a place call to this number.
