The new policy, which will be practiced in full effect by the end of 2015, entitles women working at all levels of Vodafone’s companies spread across Africa, the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific region, Europe and the US at least 16 weeks fully paid maternity leave. It also includes full pay for a 30 hour week for the first six months after their return to work. These changes have been made with the hopes of primarily benefitting working mothers, but will additionally have positive business and monetary implications for the organisation.
