Slightly Unusual become the official Illusionists at the ALTON TOWERS Hotel

WEST MIDLANDS, U.K. - April 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Slightly Unusual are pleased to announce that Slightly Unusual member Sam Leeds will be one of the official illusionists for the Alton Towers Hotel in Alton.   Slightly Unusual are considered among the top magicians and illusionists in the UK and supply entertainment for Cadbury World in Birmingham and Conkers Theme Park in Derbyshire.  They also perform up and down the UK and holiday parks such as Butlins, Haven, Park Resorts and Park Dean.  Now they can add Alton Towers to the growning list of theme parks and holiday parks that use Slightly Unusual’s services.

It is the flagship attraction of Merlin Entertainments in the United Kingdom. The site opened in 1860 with flower shows and garden tours until a theme park was built on the site in 1980.  Alton Towers Theme Park opened on 4 April 1980. Major attractions include Nemesis, Oblivion, Air, Runaway Mine Train, Congo River Rapids, Hex – The Legend of the Towers, TH13TEEN, and The Smiler.  Alton Towers is known for creating new ride types when it comes to roller coasters. They have a line of 'Secret Weapon' rides which usually bring something new to the industry.

The Alton Towers Waterpark opened in June 2003. It consists of several pools and slides including the Master Blaster water coaster. The waterpark, along with the adjoined Splash Landings Hotel, carries a tropical Caribbean theme with the 'Paradise Plumbers' creating the slides.

Sam Leeds will be performing along with other entertainers at numerous dates throughout the year between now and 2016.  On the days that Sam is at the hotel he will be performing 3 shows.  The two shows earlier on in the evening will be specifically for the children at the hotel whilst the show later on in the evening will be a family show suitable for children and adults.  This will give all the guests at the resort ample opportunity to see Sam perform.  The two earlier shows have been specially designed to be themed to a pirate theme.  Sam has developed a show that involves lots of pirate humour and themed magical effects.
