Providence, Rhode Island; March 2015 – Shamrock Financial Corporation, one of Rhode Island’s top mortgage lenders for conventional, FHA, HARP, and other loan products, is excited to announce the promotion of Ashley Cookson to the position of Assistant Vice President of Operations. Responsibilities in her new role include assisting Shamrock Financial’s president, Rod Correia, with secondary market, sources systems, and money-saving opportunities for mortgage technology, while continuing to oversee the Closing Department.

“Ashley has distinguished herself as a key driver in many of Shamrock's technology and systems management projects and development. Her dedication to "team green" has made her as a true leader,” remarked Dean Harrington, CEO of Shamrock Financial.

Ashley joined Shamrock Financial as a Closing Manager, where she both managed and assisted the Closing and Post-Closing departments in their daily responsibilities.

During her time at Shamrock Financial, Ashley has handled investor rate locks and timelines, liaised with real estate attorneys to schedule property closings, and worked closely with investors to ensure that loans were purchased in a timely manner. In addition, she maintained a role as the lead person accountable for Shamrock’s conversion to Mortgage Builder, the company’s primary loan operating software system.

Ashley also led Shamrock to an environmentally friendly paperless system, which decreases the amount of waste generated. Finally, she set up Doc U Sign, which is software that offers the ability for clients and other stakeholders to sign important and time sensitive documents from any device at any time. This wide range of experience and initiative will certainly predict her success in her new position.
