PETWORTH, U.K. - April 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Upperton Vineyards open a new visitors centre for summer 2015

After an increased number of visitors and wine sales over the last few years, Upperton Vineyards at  Petworth have decided that it's time to revamp its visitors experience. The new visitors centre which opens on the 18th April will include a new shop, new conference room and marquee area which will feature a café on selected dates. At the opening free tastings of their wines as well as tea, coffee and homemade cakes will be available on the terrace overlooking the South Downs.

At the new visitors centre launch on 18th April Upperton will be offering 15% off anything purchased from their shop including wine, tour vouchers, cheese and wine evenings and dinner dance tickets.

The owner of Upperton Vineyards, Andy Rogers, commented, “we have some of the most spectacular views of the South Downs and people love to come and see them on the vineyard tours and wine evenings. We wanted to further enhance people’s experience here at Upperton by improving our shop and tasting area” The expansion at Upperton is partly due to the improved recognition of English Sparkling Wine and the growing reputation of Upperton's wine. James Rogers, Director of Operations added, “It's important to us that everyone really enjoys visiting Upperton and sees why the South of England is one of the most exciting
new wine regions in the world, and that it’s possible to produce award winning wine in Sussex”

There is increased activity at Upperton this year and the reworking of the website and new visitor’s centre is just the beginning of what's in store. Heidi  Martin, Director of Events stated, “we have more events planned this year  than  any other year. We have a charity family fun day for Dreams Come True,  cheese  and wine evenings and a 5 course dinner dance with a live Irish band to  celebrate harvest. We really are excited about the coming year.”
