ETC…Readers’ Theatre presents “Lady Windermere’s Fan”

NAPLES, Fla. - April 7, 2015 - PRLog -- NAPLES, FL- The Naples Players ETC…Readers’ Theatre (http://www.naplesplayers.org/etc.html) ends this season with the full-length comedy “Lady Windermere’s Fan,” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Windermere%27s_Fan) by Oscar Wilde, on Sunday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Tobye Studio at Sugden Community Theatre.

         In this four act play Lady Windermere believes her husband is having an affair with Mrs. Erlynne and decides to leave her husband for another man. Mrs. Erlynne attempts to persuade Lady Windermere to go back to her husband, sacrificing herself and her reputation in order to save the marriage. Misunderstandings and deceptions in high society Victorian London are trademarks of this critically acclaimed comedy.

         Diane Davis (http://www.naplesplayers.org/educationA_instructors.html) will direct. Davis teaches adult acting classes for The Naples Players, has directed and produced numerous plays and acted in extensively on stage in Boston, New York and Naples.

         The cast for “Lady Windermere’s Fan” includes Dede Brownlee as Lady Windermere, Forrest Wallace as Parker (male servant), and Paul Graffy as Lord Darlington.  Mary Wallace plays Duchess of Berwick, Brigid Wallace appears as Lady Agatha and Robert Armstrong plays Lord Windermere. Denny Hoover takes the role of Mr. Dumby, Annie Rosemond as Lady Stutfield, Ann Hoover as Mrs. Cowper-Cowper, and Paul Nicodemi as Mr. Hopper.  Rounding out the cast is Sepp Ronay performing as Lord Augustus, Brett Marston as Cecil Graham, Rhonda Brazina as Lady Plymdale, Debera Marra as Mrs. Erlynne and Rhonda Davis as Rosalie (the maid).

         Tickets are $10.00 each and are available at The Naples Players Box Office, 701 5th Avenue South, or by calling 239-263-7990. The Box Office is open Mon. – Fri. from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Sat. from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and one hour prior to curtain.

         ETC…Readers’ Theatre offers on-stage opportunities for those with varying degrees of experience. The readings are performed without line memorization, props or blocking, in black costume, with limited rehearsals and script in hand presentation.
