Dubai, April 2015: Dubai Refreshment (P.J.S.C.), the sole franchisee and distributor for Pepsi Co. products in Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates, conducted the 4^th Annual Blood Donation Drive in association with the Dubai Health Authority today at Dubai Refreshment’s (P.J.S.C.) premises. The need for blood locally remains constant and donations are needed to offset blood shortages.

Blood donation contributes to saving thousands of lives without causing any harm to donor. Over past few years, the blood donation drives by Dubai Refreshment have created good awareness for voluntary blood donation.

Speaking on the occasion Tarek El Sakka, CEO, Dubai Refreshment (P.J.S.C.) asserted, “We have organized this campaign as a reflection of our commitment to the wellbeing of the community. As we recognize the imminent need of blood in times of emergency, and hope our contribution would be impactful. Through our annual drives we want to encourage voluntary blood donation, and educate the public about the benefits of blood donation to the donors and the community”

The drive’s goal was to spread awareness about the importance of having a safe stockpile of blood supply and the importance of donations to save the lives of those who have been in accidents or who are seriously ill.
