By: Clicking In On April 22nd, Dr. Maria M. Vallejo will be the keynote speaker and her topic is "Lessons in Leadership: Wish I Knew Then What I Know Now.” Dr. Vallejo has been the Provost of the Palm Beach State College Lake Worth campus for 16 years and has over 35 years of experience in higher education. She was featured in the March 12 edition of Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine among the Top 25 Women in Higher Education. Dr. Vallejo is active with the local Women and Hispanic chambers of commerce as well as the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches where she forged partnerships that bring more scholarship opportunities to women and students of color. She is also on the committee for the LINK program which connects business and education. She holds a position on the board of ASPIRA of Florida, an empowerment organization for young Latinos, and has provided assistance with student conferences, summer camp and higher education opportunities. Nationally, Dr. Vallejo sits on several boards which focus on leadership development and higher education. Clicking In Forum will also feature Jennifer Sardone-Shiner and Frank Eberling. Ms. Sardone-Shiner is the Marketing Director of the largest award-winning regional theatre in Florida and will be speaking about “The Making of Magic of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre.” She serves as Director of Marketing for the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. She has been nominated for Woman of the Year for the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce and the Athena Award for Young Professional of the Year for the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches. Frank Eberling is an EMMY award winning filmmaker with 3000 film and television credits. He is the author of several novels, over thirty screenplays, and has directed two feature films set in Palm Beach County. He will be discussing his recent novel “Sweet City Blues” which takes place in Palm Beach County, Florida. The incidents, attitudes, and situations depicted reflect those of the 1970s of an irresponsible, carefree, bygone era, “when sex was good, clean fun.” "I really enjoy these Clicking In Forums where I meet a diverse group of people from different paths." said Scott Espenship of Merchant Pro LLC.
