Hotel Renovates to Suit Needs of Growing Business Community

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - April 3, 2015 - PRLog -- MARTINSBURG, WV – April 3, 2015 – The Comfort Inn located on Edwin Miller Boulevard in Martinsburg, WV proudly announces the completion of a total renovation. The hotel, which is owned by the Aikens Group, was built in 1990 and this was the first renovation of such magnitude since the opening. The Aikens Group invested over $1M in order to serve the area’s growing business community.

Berkeley County is the fastest growing county in the state of West Virginia, with a population growth rate of 4.4%. Significantly higher than the state's 0.1% growth rate. The area lends itself to industrial development and economic growth. As this progress has actualized, the Aikens Group recognized the need to expand and improve upon its investments in the Martinsburg area, starting with the renovation of the Comfort Inn and continuing with its development of the Hilton Garden Inn in Martinsburg.

The renovation included the demolition of all guest rooms and public space. All furniture, flooring, lighting, bathroom fixtures and bedding were replaced. Walking into the Comfort Inn is the same experience as walking into a brand new hotel. The lobby and breakfast area features new flooring, carpeting, furniture and cabinetry and the conference level, featuring 6,400 square feet of banquet space, was given new wallpaper and completely new restrooms. Finishing touches included a new façade on the front exterior and a resealed/striped parking lot.
