ROCKFORD, Ill. - April 3, 2015 - PRLog -- The multi-platinum country music quartet Lonestar will headline the 2015 Rosecrance Foundation Benefit, set for Monday, April 27, at Giovanni’s.

The annual event raises funds to assist children, teens, adults and families in need of financial help for substance abuse and mental health treatment. Highlights of the annual Benefit include stories of recovery and presentation of the Castle Award, annually given to a family or individual who demonstrates exemplary commitment to the Rosecrance mission of help, hope and recovery. This year’s Castle Award recipient has not been announced.

Lonestar, featuring the original lead singer Richie McDonald, is in the midst of a 20-year anniversary tour with more than 90 dates in North America. The group’s ten #1 country hits include “No News,” “Come Crying to Me,” and crossover smash “Amazed,” which also topped the Billboard Hot 100 list.

The 2015 Rosecrance Foundation Benefit theme, “One Pretty Good Day at a Time,” is a nod to Lonestar’s hit called “Pretty Good Day.” Because of the country theme, guests are encouraged to wear western attire.

The event is set for 6:30 p.m. Tickets the Benefit, which includes a gourmet dinner, are $175 each or $1,750 for a table of 10. Sponsorships are still available. Giovanni’s is located at 610 N. Bell School Road, Rockford.

All proceeds from the Benefit go to the Kinley Charity Care Fund. Last year, the Benefit raised a record $587,000 to help families in need of services, said Anne Boccignone, Rosecrance VP for Development. Since 1984, when the Kinley Fund was established, the Benefit has raised more than $7 million to help families.

Lisa Lindman, chair of the Rosecrance Foundation Board, expressed gratitude for the generosity of benefactors in the community who support The Kinley Fund through the Benefit.

“The tremendous support we’ve had for the Benefit through the years signals a deep understanding that few families have not been touched by substance abuse or mental illness,” Lindman said. “The generosity brought about by that understanding has translated into real, life-saving services for thousands of people.”

The Castle Award, also part of the annual program, is named for the late Clarence and Millard Castle, a father and son whose combined service to the Rosecrance Board of Directors totaled more than 100 years.
