Good Shepherd Shelter Partners With Martin’s Favor For “Help Us Help Them” Campaign

LOS ANGELES - April 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Good Shepherd Shelter, in its continued goal to expand the program, is partnering with the gospel group, Martin’s Favor, to launch the “Help Us Help Them” campaign, downloading the song, Help Your Children.

“Our [Martin’s Favor] focus of healing and the fragility of the human condition connects with the work of Good Shepherd Shelter. Being able to share a song that can be used for both healing and awareness, while raising money for a great cause, makes us excited!” says Francine Martin, singer of Martin’s Favor. “We know that it is difficult for women to leave an abusive situation due to many complex factors but we hope to celebrate the survival and resilience of those who have had the opportunity to find safety.”

From Easter Sunday to Mother’s Day (April 5^th – May 10^th), Help Your Children will be available to download at https://www.goodshepherdshelter.org/help and on iTunes for $1.57.

“The price of the song is intentional”, says Mandy Gibson, Co-Executive Director of Good Shepherd Shelter. “Our goal is to reach 1 million downloads and we hope that all of our supporters will tell 5 friends about our campaign. And seeing as it takes 7 times for a woman to leave an abusive situation, we believe that, with this campaign, we can continue toward ending the generational cycle of violence.”

Bringing together this cause and the gift of music is a perfect combination to accomplish the goal of one million downloads. Good Shepherd Shelter and Martin’s Favor are eager to see the campaign flourish and raise awareness about domestic violence.
