In this magical fantasy written for teens, Maude is an opera singer whose voice has the ability to heal. A rival singer named Angelique is really a dark fairy, and she casts a spell on Maude, transforming her human form into a fairy so Maude can no longer perform. Angelique wants to be the star at the opera, so she uses an ancient fairy spell to rid herself of Maude.

For years Maude tries to regain her human body. One day, she asks for help from two other opera singers, Jeanette and Zelda, who are also chorus members of the local Baptist church. They find an ancient spell to counteract the first spell.

It’s show time. Will Maude be able to use her healing voice again?
