BOSTON - April 1, 2015 - PRLog -- (BOSTON, MA)—Throughout May and June 2015 the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) will host a series of special programs highlighting Provincetown’s historical significance, artistic scene, and influence on the community. This series will bring the essence of the Massachusetts hotspot to Boston with these educational programs.
Why Independent Films Matter - Monday, May 18, 2015; 7:00PM-8:30PM; Tuition: $15.00
Christine K. Walker CEO of Provincetown Film Society details the goals for the recently launched institute to create and promote independent films in a more efficient way. Walker speaks to the experimental, controversial, and specific nature of the independent film industry and how film festivals (like the Provincetown International Film Festival) support up-and-coming talent in the indie community.

The Art of Drag - Wednesday, May 20, 2015; 7:00PM-8:30PM; Tuition: $15.00
Drag Queens Extraordinaire Trampolina Glenellen and Constance Waverly answer the burning questions about the fun-filled life of a Drag Queen. Anything goes in this intimate Q&A with two Queens experienced in all aspects of the field including fundraising, performance and partying. Questions get personal with family, dating, and more on the agenda for a high-energy evening.

What Matters?! Finding Well-Being Amid the Overwhelm and Complexity of the 21st Century - Saturday, May 30, 2015; 10:00AM to 12:00PM; Tuition: $50.00

Part of BCAE’s Celebrity Chef Series, Lucio Garnica of P-Town’s Sage Inn and Lounge offers his expertise in unique flavor combinations that can be recreated at home. As a social media maven, Garnica showcases his food in colorful, aesthetically pleasing ways on his popular Instagram account. Learn how this well-rounded chef and Provincetown celebrity packs exciting flavor into small plates at this larger than life course.

Art Collecting for Beginners - Wednesday, June 3, 2015; 7:00PM-8:30PM; Tuition: $15.00
Executive Director Christine M. McCarthy of the Provincetown Art Association and Museum shares insider tips to starting a personal art collection. Participants will learn where and how to purchase art pieces, and how to curate a collection in their own homes. McCarthy presents strategies to make an at-home gallery one’s own without breaking the bank.

Tennessee Williams: Everything You Need to Know - Monday, June 8, 2015; 7:00PM-8:30PM; Tuition: $15.00
Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival director Jeff Hall-Flavin connects the life and work of famed playwright Tennessee Williams to Provincetown with readings from his letters and plays. The festival has celebrated the life of the American playwright for more than 10 years.
