Cabinet-S-Top in Medina, OH receives two 2015 Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards

MEDINA, Ohio - March 31, 2015 - PRLog -- The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) awarded Michelle Bortolotto, Senior Designer at Cabinet-S-Top a CotY (Contractor of the Year) winner from the 2015 competition. Michelle received two 2015 Contractor of the Year awards.

The first project she entered is a residential bath in the $15,000-$30,000 category and won 2nd Place.  The client’s two main objectives for the bathroom project were to eliminate the bathtub and create a make-up vanity area with storage.  The client never used the bathtub, and instead desired a walk-in tiled shower.  A new make-up vanity with plenty of storage now occupies the space where the old shower unit was originally.  Attention to detail in the finishes, down to the hardware selection and rain glass in the linen cabinet, along with the use of innovative materials ensure the client of a space that not only achieves their desired aesthetic and functional needs, but offer years of worry free enjoyment.  The judges felt “the shower was eye-catching and was a very nice mix of materials with an interesting use of the space for a make-up area. “


The second project Michelle entered was for a residential kitchen in the $15,000-$30,000 category and won Honorable Mention.  The objective for this project was to open up the kitchen by removing the wall that separated the kitchen from the dining area and reconstruct the adjacent wall to the living room space to allow for a breakfast bar.  This opened up the space creating the feeling of a larger kitchen and incorporating a breakfast bar for extra seating which allows for better interaction with guests.  By bringing the same cabinetry into the dining area also made for a cohesive look.  This kitchen is in tune with the couple’s contemporary style with the amenities of new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, glass/stone linear backsplash tile and maple cabinets with simple details.  The judges felt “the new space was a great solution and beautiful fit with the client’s style.  WOW…what a difference!  Great Job!”
