PeerTV adds DVB-T2 technology to its set top boxes

LONDON - March 30, 2015 - PRLog -- PeerTV, the TV over the internet (OTT) technology solutions provider, announced today that it has successfully integrated DVB-T2 connectivity to its standard set top box. PeerTV (http://www.peertv.com/) recently announced that it was also adding voice control to its marketing leading HEVC equipped set top boxes.

DVB-T2 is the world’s most advanced digital terrestrial television (DTT) system, offering more robustness, flexibility and at least 50% more efficiency than any other DTT system. It supports SD, HD, UHD, mobile TV and any combination thereof.

PeerTV products with DVB-T2 connectivity are currently being tested by a number of potential customers interested in enabling their users to enjoy both OTT and terrestrial TV services (http://www.peertv.com/#!what-can-i-do-with-etv/cjg9), using just one unified box.

In addition to the DVB-T2 add on, the PeerTV set top box can stream video and audio content from IPTV channels, OTT video distribution, VOD stores, external USB hard drives and content stored on a home network.
