By: Cook Newton Mayor Setti Warren was born and raised in Newton, in the same house where he lives today with his wife Tassy, daughter Abigail and son John. After graduating from Boston College, Mayor Warren began an extensive career in public service, including working as Special Assistant in the White House Office of Cabinet Affairs for President Clinton. Now serving his fifth year as the Mayor of Newton, Warren continues to focus his efforts on making Newton a livable, sustainable, 21st century city, and uses data and demographics to improve public safety, infrastructure, education, and economic development, knowing that his administration is making decisions that will affect Newton for decades to come. Mayor Warren is a regular supporter of the Angela and Patrick Palmer Research Fund, having supported the fund through the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). This night of cooking is one of several celebrity chef events at Cook, all of which raise money and awareness about a charity chosen by the specific celebrity chef of the evening.
