HENDERSON, Nev. - March 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Nevada Restaurant Services, the parent company of Dotty’s, acquired the 32-acre Hacienda Hotel and Casino in Boulder City, NV in December 2013, re-naming it the “Hoover Dam Lodge."   Since that time, extensive remodeling has transformed this iconic Southern Nevada landmark into a picturesque desert lodge, nestled between Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. The Hoover Dam Lodge will have a “soft re-opening” on April 3rd, 2015.

In addition to receiving an exterior facelift befitting the robust Nevada terrain, the Hotel’s massive stone fireplace and chandelier now welcome guests as they enter the Hotel.  Remodeling the 17-story Hotel tower is a floor-by-floor project, with many rooms in the north tower offering guests new furnishings, state-of-the-art flat-screen televisions, microwaves, refrigeratorsand coffee makers.  The east wing features 15 pet-friendly rooms for guests traveling with furry family members.  Additionally, nearly 12,000 square feet of casino space has been remodeled. Guests familiar with “Dotty’s” taverns will especially enjoy the Dotty’s located inside the casino near the west entrance. Everything Nevadans love about Dotty’s is captured in  Dotty’s at Hoover Dam Lodge.

A distinctive feature of the new Hoover Dam Lodge, according to General Manager Steve DesChamps, is its 4,000-square-foot General Store that offers every retail product imaginable. “Whatever you can think of is in our General Store,” DesChamps said. “Its single location offers nostalgic sodas served in classic Coke glasses, old-fashioned candies and cookies, one-of-a-kind gifts, and an impressive and uniquely displayed selection of gear for a day on the Lake Mead or the Colorado River.  It is an entertaining shopping experience.”

Hoover Dam Lodge’s Steakhouse offers guests steaks, seafood and pasta selections in an intimate environment, while the Big Horn Café’s casual dining atmosphere blends an All-American style menu with a unique photo gallery of the elusive big horn sheep indigenous to Nevada and which are frequently seen at the property.

Other features accommodating guests include a workout room containing state-of-the-art athletic equipment, pool and hot tub, business center, a children’s arcade, and meeting/banquet rooms for events up to 240 persons.  A kiosk in the Hotel provides information for guests who want outdoor group experiences such as hiking, bicycling, zip-lines, and helicopter rides over the Hoover Dam and surrounding areas.  A scenic walkway from the eastern to the western side of the Hotel encourages a meandering exploration of the property and features photos of the area’s diverse land and animals, as well as videos of the construction of the Dam and Lake Mead.

Hoover Dam Lodge is also excited about the new Interstate 11 that will provide the first direct interstate connection between Las Vegas and Phoenix. Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2015 near the Hoover Dam Lodge.

Hoover Dam Lodge is well poised to be a goodwill welcoming ambassador to new and returning travelers visiting the Silver State.  “We are a boutique property in the middle of a national park that welcomes two million visitors a year. With hotel rooms overlooking Lake Mead, we are the heart of all outdoor activities involving the Lake and the Dam,” DesChamps said.

Laughlin River Lodge

Progress continues on the 1,000-room Laughlin, NV casino, purchased by Nevada Restaurant Services in July 2014.  Formerly known as the River Palms and renamed “Laughlin River Lodge”, the Company has added 470 new games and constructed two popular “Dotty’s” themed gaming areas inside the spacious casino.  Lodge Bingo offers guests a fun and casual bingo experience, with seven sessions starting at 9 a.m. daily on the odd hour.

Guest rooms facing the Colorado River have been upgraded to include 55-inch LED televisions, coffee makers, hair dryers, free Wi-Fi, microwaves, refrigerators, irons and ironing boards. Other features include a workout room containing state-of-the-art athletic equipment, therapeutic massage services, and pool with a view of the river. The existing steakhouse, aptly named “The Lodge Steakhouse”, continues to be a local favorite with its quality steaks, seafood and chef’s specialties, along with nightly live entertainment. The Company is currently upgrading the marque signage and repainting the building exterior.
