New Satire Company Launched in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - March 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Gainesville -- The Random Journal, Gainesville’s new satire company launched this month.  Currently it is solely on the web (www.therandomjournal.com) but plans are in the works to publish a print publication and series of live shows.  The site currently features local and national writers as well as other Gainesville area artists.

“When I first came to Gainesville, I didn’t know what to expect but what I found was much different than anything I could have imagined.  The cultural and political diversity make it a really eclectic place to be,” said Alyson Chadwick, founder of the company.  “I want to use this as a vehicle to showcase some of that diversity and local talent.  What other city can boast of having such different people as Ted Yoho and Corrine Brown represent it?”

The site has a roster of ten writers but is always looking for more contributors.  A live show is being planned for either the end of April or early May.
