PM World Library introduces FREE Basic Memberships

March 29, 2015 - PRLog -- PM World has announced a new free membership category for the PM World Library.  Free access is now available to all articles, papers and other works by all 500+ authors in the PM World Collection, and to most other current content in the library.  Free access will still require registration, but registration is free under the new category called “Free Basic Membership.”  To register go to http://pmworldlibrary.net/who-gets-free-basic-access/ and click on Free Basic Membership.

The PM World Collection contains all works originally published in the PM World Journal since August 2012 plus some older papers and now includes over 1300 original works by 560 different authors from 60+ countries.  The collection is growing each month by approximately 30 new works by many different authors.  All works in the PMWL can be accessed at http://pmworldlibrary.net/pm-world-collection/.  Profiles of all authors in the library, along with access to their works, can be found at http://pmworldlibrary.net/author-showcase/.  All now FREE to access.

According to PMWL Director David Pells, “Although library traffic is well over 10,000 unique visitors per month, we realized that too few people were accessing the PM World Collection where works are tagged to a variety of useful categories and terms. We also want our authors to share their works more freely with others without requiring payment. This is a new model more in line with global internet protocol, the next step in making the PMWL a truly global resource for continuous education in program and project management.”

In addition to free access to the original papers in the PM World Collection, the new Free Basic Access will provide access to the PMWJ archives, P/PM news section; public P/PM information, P/PM education section, P/PM profession section and other information.  News archives can be accessed at http://pmworldlibrary.net/ppm-news/.  See archives of past editions of the PMWJ at http://pmworldlibrary.net/ppm-journals-and-magazines/.

“Another highlight of this change,” Pells adds, “is that all members registering in the new category will be included in the monthly drawings for free books.  Those registering for the current Free Trial Memberships will also automatically be converted to Free Basic Membership at the end of their trial memberships. Some fantastic new services will soon be added to make the Free Trials of more interest again.”
