Broadway, Opera & Spiritual Concert, April 12th in Emerson, NJ

EMERSON, N.J. - March 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Emerson, NJ - Pastor Paolo Tanzini of Church of the Assumption, RC Church welcomes all to the next event of our Jubilee Celebration -  “Reflections on Love”; a concert featuring uplifting spiritual music, Broadway favorites as well as operatic selections. The concert is scheduled for Sunday, April 12th at 4pm in the main church.

The concert will include Sacred Classics and Broadway favorites; with a special Stephen Sondheim feature and selections from Operas, Cosi Fan Tutte and Don Giovanni.

“I am pleased and honored to announce that our own Leader of Song and gifted Operatic Artist, Lorinda Walker will be performing with four fellow gifted and renowned artists.” said Pastor Tanzini. “I invite all to join us and be enriched by the exhilarating lyrics and extraordinary performers”.

Our featured vocal artist; Lorinda Walker began her classical operatic training in the role as Marcellina in The Marriage of Figaro.  She has studied with Louisa Jonason, renowned soprano of the New York City Opera. She has performed at the Archdiocesan Festival Chorale and with the NJ Symphony Orchestra.

Rounding out the ensemble will be Lisa Lutter who has performed with Grammy award winners including Chanticleer, Eileen Ivers and Judy Collins; Jeremy Watson,  who has performed alongside such greats as Patti Labelle, Denyce Graves, and the New York Pops;  Kimberly Mesiti,  a talented vocalist and actress who has performed as Trina in Falsettos, The Baker’s Wife in Into The Woods and Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar;  And… Markus Grae-Hauck,  who has conducted and/or accompanied operas, big bands, various vocal ensembles, orchestras, rock groups, and jazz combos.

This concert is sure to be one of the top events in Bergen County, NJ.
