ACEX Alliance New Cargo Bites!

ROSTOV-ON-DON, Russian Federation - March 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Two years ago Siberian tiger Ustin and 4 other tiger cubs were found in the Far East taiga by local people. Young predators were put up in the rehabilitation center and when they got stronger they were released. Three of tiger cubs were released to their natural habitat by Vladimir Putin. Ustin was let go a month later.

During his stay in the wild Ustin became famous for his daring temper. He crossed the Chinese-Russian border twice, visited the Big Ussuriisk island and Khabarovsk. Because of injuries the tiger was again sent to the rehabilitation center. It became dangerous to return the animal to the wild as he was not afraid of people any more. Rostov zoo agreed to shelter Ustin.

On February 18, 2015 tiger Ustin was put into a special cage provided by the representatives of the zoo. After that the “passenger” was invited onboard plane and flew in Moscow.

“Transportation of live animals is always very delicate,” tells Maria Moskvicheva, the Head of “Buro perevozok” in Rostov-on-Don, “It is necessary to coordinate actions with all participants, prepare cage for transportation and collect all required documents and permits.”

It is not the first time when ACEX Group delivers rare animals for the zoo in Rostov-on-Don. Last May unique lion-tailed macaques wanderoo (http://www.acexgroup.net/en/CASE-STUDY/Monkey_Rostov/) were successfully delivered from Israel to Russia.

Transportation of a new “life” cargo was prepared very thoroughly. In order to deliver cargo two connecting flights were planned on the route Vladivostok – Moscow – Rostov-on-Don what required to prepare a great deal of additional permits. But something unforeseen happened…

Everything went to plan until the plane with the tiger arrived in Sheremetyevo. It occurred that the cage height differed from what was declared by the zoo employees: 130 cm instead of 110 cm,” tells Maria Moskvicheva, “The cage could not go into narrow-bodied aircraft flying in Rostov-on-Don. We had to make decisions very quickly. Health of a rare animal was at stake as it had already undergone a difficult journey. But instead of flying, Ustin had to travel to his new place of residence by truck.”

Everybody was engaged into this transportation. Employees of “Buro perevozok” found a truck for Ustin for 40 minutes. Representatives of veterinary service changed documents from air for road transportation very fast.

“CARGO-EXPRESS”, member of ACEX Alliance, took the responsibility for terminal handling. The company employees helped the zoo representatives to pass veterinary control and rescue “valuable cargo” from Sheremetyevo cargo terminal.

“CARGO-EXPRESS” has direct contract for services rendering with the terminal “Sheremetyevo-Cargo”. That is why reloading was executed within the shortest time,” informs Evgeniya Vidulina, representative of “CARGO-EXPRESS”, who settled payment of unexpected terminal expenses, “Working in close cooperation with different companies of the Alliance we are able to render complex services avoiding unnecessary expenses and loss of valuable time.”

On February 19 the “client” Ustin successfully arrived at the zoo in Rostov-on-Don. Soon he will meet a tigress Prima. Let’s hope that new Ustin’s friend will help him to painlessly adapt to new living conditions.
