The signature event heralds the beginning of a week-long celebration for the new restaurant and bar that will continue through April 2, and feature special food and beverage items and live entertainment.

Located just off the 101 Freeway at 30105 Agoura Road in Agoura Hills, Twisted Oak Tavern is a distinctive culinary, social, and entertainment destination open seven days a week, including most holidays, for lunch, happy hour, dinner, and late-night dining and cocktails. Jointly conceived by managing partner Jeff Walker and partner and head brewmaster Roger Bott, the tavern features creative California cuisine made almost entirely from scratch using locally-sourced ingredients; a broad selection of popular domestic, imported, and craft beer to accompany the tavern’s in-house brews produced on site under The LAB Brewing Company brand; a robust wine list highlighted by award-winning vintages from prominent regional wineries; and one-of-a-kind, artisan cocktails made with fresh, locally-grown citrus juices, premium spirits, and house-made ginger beer, tonic water, and cold-brewed coffee on nitrogen.

Designed by Executive Chef Jon Peloso, Twisted Oak Tavern’s menu offers an original, inspired, and highly-innovative array of flavorful starters, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, burgers, vegetables, entrées, and desserts — nearly all prepared from scratch using fresh, locally-produced, farm-to-table seasonal ingredients.

With over 20 years of professional experience in the culinary arts, Chef Peloso oversees a scratch kitchen in which most menu items and their various components are created on the premises from the ground up:  from tangy dipping sauces, salad dressings, sandwich spreads, and aiolis, and baked-daily tortillas and flatbreads, to the house-ground burgers fashioned from a blend of Angus chuck, short ribs, and pancetta and the tavern’s delectable desserts. Every Twisted Oak Tavern dish is prepared using only the finest and freshest ingredients procured from area farms and growers.

Beyond its distinctive menu, the centerpiece of Twisted Oak Tavern is its in-house brewery, The LAB Brewing Co., which currently produces seven delicious craft beers. Beer aficionados may choose from the well-known light and crisp blonde ale Honey, I’m Home; the Belgian Pale ale hopped with Belgian yeast; the Belgian Breakfast Brown mild ale accented with maple syrup; the Take Her Home Tripel, a Belgian tripel with citrus and spice notes; the Hop Solution, a fresh and delicious double IPA; the Cold Fusion, a porter flavored with dark, roasted coffee; and the Russian Imperial, a dark and strong imperial stout made with oatmeal. Patrons may also purchase LAB Brewing Co. beers to take home in 32- or 64- ounce growlers.

Twisted Oak Tavern features a notable wine list highlighted by award-winning red and white vintages from prominent regional wineries. Red wines include Irony’s pinot noir, Gascon’s malbec, and cabernets from Daily Inspiration, William Hill, and Educated Guess. The restaurant’s white wine list includes chardonnays from Daily Inspiration and Butterfly, a sauvignon blanc from Matua, and a pinot grigio from Campagnola. Walker and Bott intend to add more selections to the list from wineries in the Malibu area and Central Coast region.

The tavern’s experienced bartenders regularly serve up one-of-a-kind, artisan cocktails using fresh, locally-grown citrus juices, premium spirits, and house-made ginger beer, club soda, and tonic water. Guests may sample the ginger martini made with ginger-infused vodka, ginger beer, pickled ginger, simple syrup, and a splash of orange juice; The Twisted Mojo, a delightful concoction of Bacardi Limón rum, fresh mint and lime juice, and a dash of simple syrup, and available in peach, pomegranate, raspberry, strawberry, or original flavors; and The Chasing Hendricks, a unique cocktail featuring Hendricks gin, chase elderflower, and fresh-squeezed lime juice.
