She is concerned the industry could face a shortage of skilled workers if trends continue. “American children just aren’t as interested in cars as they used to be,” Audra said. “Modern technology has drawn their attention elsewhere. I’ll show them working on cars can be fun.” Audra has worked on cars since she was twelve years old. She tripled the size of her shop’s customer base within months of taking over by serving the female market. Audra’s reach goes beyond the walls of Great Bear Auto Repair.
