“Concussions are a major public health concern. They result in temporary loss of brain function, which can lead to cognitive, physical and emotional symptoms,” said Adelphi University President Dr. Robert A. Scott. “This is just one of the preventable schoolyard and public health injuries and issues we ought to consider.
