The First Look At Actor DJ Perry as Jesus in Biblical Epic "40 Nights"

LANSING, Mich. - March 26, 2015 - PRLog -- The Biblically inspired film, “40 Nights”, is in production, filming in the rocky harsh terrain of the Arizona desert. Exclusive first looks of this powerful and inspiring drama were presented by producers through the official website and social media outlets.

DJ Perry, an internationally sought over talent with over 50 feature films to his credit, plays the role of Jesus. After months of preparation, Perry was ready to reveal first looks of the most prolific figure in history.

Perry is known for his diversity of roles, looks and emotions. He has given powerfully soft and massively intense performances in previous films.  He is managed for film and TV by Myra MacKay.

The film was executive produced by Rebecca Lawlor and Curt and Tonia Kufner. Perry supervised production with his Collective Development Inc. company. CDI is known for producing internationally distributed films in multiple genres. In the faith genre the company has previously released "Figure in the Forest" and has the inspirational crime drama "Ashes of Eden" releasing nationally in May.

While scriptures show Jesus’ triumph over Satan’s temptation and worldly seduction while fasting and at his weakest moments; 40 Nights also sheds light on a time in Jesus’ life not fully written about, his early childhood. The film also enlightens audiences to the fact that by the time crucifixation took place Jesus was no stranger to suffering.

Perry who penned the script turned down an offer to purchase the script. The buzz over the film and it’s inspiring message had distributors taking notice.  Multiple offers were made before the film went into production. A deal was signed  for the film's distribution with Lightworx Entertainment. This film is the first of a  three picture deal for Perry to write, act and produce. Lightworx Entertainment is ran by executive Randy Maricle. Randy was the marketing force behind the faith hit "God's Not Dead" and is excited about taking on this film.

Audiences worldwide will get the opportunity to experience this truthful and poignant take on history’s most talked about figure in theaters this fall followed by a Christmas home video release.
