Follow on Google News | Tomstock VIII gets set to take the stageEvent will benefit Melissa Godfrey and her fight against Leukemia
By: Tomstock Five local cover bands, lots of food, and a beautiful outdoor venue await concertgoers of this terrific event. Admission is $10 per person, which includes food and entertainment. Organizers of the event will also be selling t-shirts, holding a silent auction, hosting a corn hole tournament, and running a 50/50 raffle, all to assist in raising money for Godfrey. Tomstock is open to everyone 18 years old and up. Alcohol is allowed, but will not be sold at the venue. Coolers and comfortable outdoor chairs are recommended. Concertgoers are also encouraged to stay the night so tents and campers are allowed. Melissa Godfrey graduated from Cypress Lake High School in 1998. In 2013, a few weeks after getting married, she was diagnosed with Leukemia. The cancer went into remission after being treated with chemotherapy, but it only lasted for 6 months. Godfrey has since received a bone marrow transplant and more chemotherapy as she continues her fight against this disease.
