The criteria for receiving this award is that lawyers are evaluated on their client service and relationship skills; lawyers who receive three or more Client Reviews with a numeric score of 4.0-5.0 are eligible to be recognized with the Martindale-Hubbell Client Distinction Award from the American Registry.

Client Review Ratings use a simple one-page survey with four pertinent questions for a client to assess the communication ability, quality of service, responsiveness and value for the money on specific matters for which the client engaged the lawyer. In addition, there is an overall recommendation option (indicated with a “thumbs up” graphic if you would recommend the attorney), basic demographic questions about the attorney and the option to provide additional feedback in narrative form. The survey is structured so that it only takes a few minutes to complete.
